Miami, FL – NAKID Magazine is thrilled to announce a dynamic partnership with Twenty6North Productions, The L Brand Group, the Greater Miami Tourist & Visitors Bureau, and the Miami Arts & Business Council for the upcoming Miami Art Week 2023. These collaborations will see the staging of four distinctive events throughout the week, featuring numerous artists, including NAKID founder, Dustin Hollywood who also goes by the moniker MAMMOTH.
Event Schedule and Highlights:
- “BASEL BRUNCH” at ARLO Wynwood (December 3rd, 11am-3pm): The week will commence with the first of two “BASEL BRUNCH” events. Dustin Hollywood will unveil his series “REALMS“, merging photography with machine learning to transport viewers through space and time in other worlds and dimensions.
Dustin says, “This is an exploration of art, the mind and desire, what draws our imagination into dreams of other existences.. and these curated images are moments captured within those places.”
- “VERNISSAGE OPENING NIGHT” at Sonder The Deco, South Beach (December 6th, 6pm-9pm): This evening event will showcase Hollywood’s “ABSTRACT HUMANS” series, challenging societal norms of beauty and celebrating the evolving human form.
“Embracing the rejection of society’s views of flaws and differences in beauty, whether it be in our daily lives or art itself. This series showcases the human form always evolving and molding to the viewers’ will”, says Dustin.
- “RED FASHION SHOW” at UMA HOUSE, South Beach (December 7th, 7pm-10pm): The festival weekend kicks off with a blend of art and fashion. Hollywood’s “MANIFESTATION SOL” series will be featured alongside a runway show, ‘Red Fashion Show’, by designer Dream of Desire, set against the backdrop of South Beach under the December moonlight. The series revolves around the idea of exposing the soul in a visual manifestation in this photography series using the method of solarization exposure technique.
- Second “BASEL BRUNCH” at Regatta, Coconut Grove (December 9th, 12pm-12am): The final event will host Hollywood’s “LOVE IN DISASTER” exhibition, portraying intimate moments amid various disasters, capturing the resilience of love in challenging environments amidst the chaos of the universe.
Dustin Hollywood’s Vision: Each exhibition curated by Dustin Hollywood encapsulates a unique theme, demonstrating his versatility and innovative approach to art. From exploring alternate realms to deconstructing beauty standards, Hollywood’s work invites viewers to reconsider their perception of art and humanity and our collective future in how we create it. The “RED FASHION SHOW” will be a particular highlight, blending visual art photography with fashion in a spectacular rooftop setting.
