“I always shot nudes of friends, but it usually involved just one person at a time. Shooting five girls just naturally kinda happened. I didn’t even know what or why I wanted to shoot until the day before. Since late last year, I’ve been trying to shoot without a mood board. I would just close my eyes and let me mind wander off in a coffee shop. Let loose and get weird, yknow?
I don’t want to recreate the same fucking shit over and over again. I see some photographers look like a generic rip-off of some other bigger photographers. But sometimes I see the work of someone’s voice that’s so strong, unique, and refreshing. I want to be that. I know in some interpretation, art is always inspired by something and nothing is ever truly original. But I don’t want to give into it just yet. I want to at least try and these lovely women gave me all their trust and try.”
