Freelance Photographer Nastia Cloutier-Ignatiev is a regular here at NAKID and recently wanted to do a series for us comparing two different photographers works. A few weeks ago, Furna, a Montreal stylist, and Nastia decided to organise a photoshoot to embellish their social media’s. They thought it would be a good idea to have two photographers shoot the same settings and subjects from two different perspectives creatively.  They posted on their social media’s that they were looking for a second shooter and Ver Sepasi contacted them. They were thrilled once everything was set because Nastia has been following this photographer for a while but never got the chance to work with her.  

They decided to work with two models with whom they already worked with before and that they knew they would have fun with. A few weeks later when the pictures were ready, they were shocked by the differences in the images. They were shooting in the exact rooms, with the same light, the same clothing, and the pictures don’t look at all the same – showing the artistic/aesthetic differences between two artists given the same settings, people and surroundings while creating. The pictures prove that Ver and Nastia found their styles and that even if they are in the same situation, they are faithful to those aesthetics.
